Guest Speaker: Linda Hight, Author of How We Served, Volume 2
The book includes stories from 29 men and women who served our country from WWII through Operation Enduring Freedom. These veterans are from American Legion Post 10 and Post 103 in Okmulgee, OK. They share their experiences, feelings, thoughts and memories. We read how these men and women made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today. We also read about those that originally joined the military as a two or three-year challenge. Instead, they found themselves choosing to make it their life's career because it was what they were meant to do.
Linda also plans to have some of the veterans from the book with us so everyone can meet them.
The book has no price.... people are encouraged to give as a donation the amount they choose. 100% goes to the American Legion Post.
