Guest Speakers: Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott and Treasurer Dana Patten

Wagoner County Sheriff Chris ElliottWagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott, is currently serving as Wagoner County's 22nd Sheriff. Elliott was first elected Sheriff on June, 28th 2016. Elliott was unchallenged in the General Election that year and assumed Office by appointment of the County Commissioners on July, 7th 2016.

Sheriff Elliott was then elected to a second term as Sheriff on June 8, 2020. Elliott was unchallenged in the General Election.

Sheriff Elliott worked for the Tulsa Police Department for 27 years and for 8 of those years, worked as the Recruit Training Coordinator with the Tulsa Police Academy. Sheriff Elliott and his wife Judy, have lived in Wagoner County for over16 years, where they have raised their children and now their grandchildren are being raised.

Sheriff Elliott started with the Tulsa Police Department in 1989. In his 27 years at TPD, he never had a sustained complaint. Sheriff Elliott attended East Central University and holds a Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree. He also holds an Advanced Oklahoma Peace Officer certification, CLEET Instructor, Standard Field Sobriety instructor, Advanced Accident Investigator, as well as a Field Training Officer.

Sheriff Elliott has numerous letters of commendation and is a recipient of the Tulsa Police Medal of Valor.

As Sheriff, Chris Elliott has worked on building relationships with other Local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies to ensure the best quality service to all citizens of Wagoner County. As Sheriff, Chris Elliott and Deputies are working to remove the flow of drugs into our County by working with other agencies, education of our youth, and other Law Enforcement tactics.

Wagoner County Treasurer Dana PattenWagoner County Treasurer Dana Patten ran for the office after seeing records of deposits which she believes were not earning up to the best potential.

She has been a business owner who serviced individuals and small businesses in their accounting and tax preparations needs.

She has also been an industrial engineer for a local company and has studied engineering economics.

Patten has been a homeowner in Wagoner County for more than 33+ years.

She is the mother of six children.

Come early and join us at 6:30 pm for a time of friendly fellowship.

February Monthly Meeting - Precinct Meetings

When: Thursday, February 4, 2020 (Bad Weather Backup Date will be Thursday, February 11)
            6:30 pm - Fellowship Theme - Cookies and Coffee
            7:00 pm - Precinct Meetings
Where: Abundant Rain Church, 12425 South 273rd East Avenue, Coweta, OK 74429
* The business of the Precinct meeting is to:
     1. Elect new precinct officers for a 2-year term.
     2. Elect delegates to represent the precinct at the County Convention.
     3. 
Submit planks/amendments/changes to the Wagoner County GOP Platform, and
         Recommend changes to the OKGOP State Party Rules and State Party Platform.
* Any person seeking to be seated as a delegate to any County or State Convention must:
     * Be a registered Republican in the Precinct and County by the date set by the County Executive Committee.
                                                     And
     * Attend their duly called local Precinct Meeting or if unable to attend the Precinct Meeting, you must contact your Precinct Chair before the close of the week of the precinct meeting.  If you cannot reach your Precinct Chair, contact your County Chair.

When: Saturday, March 6, 2020 (Bad Weather Backup Date will be Saturday, March 13)
           Time: 9:00 am Registration Begins
                    10:00 am County Convention Starts

* To be a delegate at the County Convention, you must attend your precinct meeting.  If you MUST be absent from the precinct meeting, you must contact your Precinct Chair before the close of the week of the precinct meeting.  If you cannot reach your Precinct Chair, contact your County Chair.
* Republican guests are welcome.  Therefore, you need not be a delegate to attend the County Convention.

OKGOP Biennial State Convention

When: Saturday, April 10, 2020
            Time TBA
Where: Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK 73102

* To be a delegate at the Biennial State Convention, you must first start by attending your precinct meeting and then be elected as a Delegate from the County Convention TO the State Convention.  If you MUST be absent from the precinct meeting, you must contact your Precinct Chair before the close of the week of the precinct meeting.  If you cannot reach your Precinct Chair, contact your County Chair.
