A Word from the Former Chairman:

Dear Wagoner County Republican Party Members,

I begin by extending my heartfelt congratulations to all newly elected officers. I wish you every success as you lead our County Party into the future.

I also want to express my deep gratitude for the support you’ve shown me—from my early days of involvement, when I helped overhaul our website starting in February 2018, through my tenure as Chair. It has been both an honor and a pleasure to serve you. Together, we’ve achieved remarkable and historic milestones in Wagoner County. The Candidate Information Committee, which we developed to educate voters about candidates, stands as a testament to our commitment. Additionally, our County Party Officers became the first, to our knowledge, among any county or state party to take a pledge to uphold integrity—a groundbreaking step forward.

I extend my sincere thanks to the former officers and my Executive Committee, whose guidance and vision over the past two years helped shape our direction. Your collaboration has been invaluable, and it has been a privilege to work with you.
I also want to thank the gracious organizations that have supported our efforts by hosting key events. We are grateful to Our Finest Hour Church for hosting our 2025 Biennial County Convention this year and to Indian Capital Technology Center for providing a space for our Precinct Meetings. Additionally, NSU-BA has been instrumental in hosting our Monthly Meetings, and Abundant Rain Church has generously allowed us to hold our Executive Meetings and other gatherings there from time to time. Your support has been essential to our success.

Finally, I must acknowledge my wife, Martha Vermillion, whose tireless dedication made my role as Chair possible. Her efforts ensured our meetings and initiatives succeeded, and none of our accomplishments would have been realized without her. Martha, I love you dearly and am profoundly grateful for your hard work.
Above all, I give thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for allowing His Will to always be done and not our own agendas. It is through His guidance that we have been blessed to serve and grow as a party and a community.

Thank you all once again. May God continue to bless Wagoner County.

For Freedom,

Matthew Vermillion
Former Chair, Wagoner County Republican Party
