Guest Speakers: John Bennett, New Chair of the OKGOP; Sandy Hodges, Wagoner County Assessor; and Michael Kauskey, WCGOP State Committeeman
John Bennett, New Chair of the Oklahoma Republican Party will come and share with us his plan and vision of where the Oklahoma Republican Party will be headed and what issues are on the horizon.
John Bennett was born and raised in Vian, Oklahoma. Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he retired after a decorated career with several combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His professional career continued with work for the Sequoyah Sheriff’s department’s drug task force and as a small business owner with his wife, Nicole. Chairman Bennett completed his Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Phoenix.
In 2010, Bennet became the first Republican in history to be elected to the Oklahoma State House from District 2. During his tenure as a representative, he was the house author for Senate Bill 1143 which mandated that public schools recite the Pledge of Allegiance at least once a week.
John term-limited himself out, leaving in 2018, and became the pastor of Lee Creek Assembly of God in Muldrow, OK. He was elected as Chairman in 2021.
Sandy Hodges, Wagoner County Assessor will be sharing with us about her job as being the county assessor.
Sandy Hodges is a life long conservative who supports lower taxes, limited government , accountability and transparency in government. She serves as Wagoner County's Assessor to ensure that government safeguards our property.
Michael Kauskey, State Committeeman for the Wagoner County Republican Party will be sharing with us about our core values.
Michael Kauskey is also a life long conservative who has served in many positions within the Wagoner County Republican Party. Currently Michael was elected as State Committeeman for Wagoner County Republican Party during our County Convention in March and will serve in a 2 year term.
Come early and join us at 6:30 pm for a time of friendly fellowship. And bring a finger food to share.
