Clint Johnson, 49, announced in February 2022 his candidacy for Oklahoma's US Congressional 2nd District.

Johnson graduated from Vian High School in 1990 and went to the Marines.

When Johnson got out of the marines he came back to Tahlequah where he currently lives.

Johnson then went to work for the Cherokee county sheriffs department as a reserve deputy, part time jailer/dispatcher. He moved into full time jailer/dispatcher for about a year before becoming a full time deputy on the street. He worked as a deputy sheriff for approximately 5 years before going to work for the District Attorney drug task force.

Johnson then worked as a Narcotics agent for the state of Oklahoma for approximately 9 years with 3 ½ years as being field supervisor.

Johnson then was hired on in Iraq thru Dyncorp international/US State Department as an international police liaison officer training the Iraqi police and worked in the national investigative and intelligence agency for the ministry of Iraq for almost 2 years.

Johnson isn't married, but has 5 children 4 girls ages 27, 25, 19, 15 and 1 boy age 21.

Josh Cockroft, Political Director for Stitt for Governor and Former State Rep., will be speaking on behalf of Governor Kevin Stitt who is running for Governor again this election cycle.
